About your ClinicianJason Marc Haddad is the Principal Clinical Psychologist at JMH Psychology. Jason has a background as a High School Teacher, before qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2008. Jason’s training in Psychology was eclectic, including training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic principles, Narrative Therapy and Family Systems work. Jason has been employed in South Africa, the USA and Australia in various roles, both in Public and Private Health Settings. Through his work in Public Health/ Community settings, Jason developed a strong interest in Attachment Theory, which grounds his work with clients now. Jason developed an interest in providing evidence-based assessments to clients, as part of his clinical work. A large focus of his clinical work, now, is on assessment of clients for Criminal Injuries Compensation (CIC); Worker's Compensation (WC); Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA); and Personal Injury, Claims. Jason has two focus-areas in his work: Therapy and Assessment. If you make an appointment for Therapy, Jason will develop goals with you. His goal is to equip you, as a client, to change patterns of behaviour in your life with which you may be struggling; allow you to connect with (often) difficult feelings; and be able to engage in a more fulfilling life. In Therapy, Jason will work from a Psychodynamic/ Attachment focus, but may also employ Cognitive Behavioural Therapy support techniques. Jason works alongside his clients to explore and understand the impact of life experiences, on the challenges his clients face now. In Therapy, Jason works with clients who experience a range of difficulties. These include, but are not limited to, Anxiety; Depression; work-place stress; gender and identity issues; sexuality issues; life-transitions (such as to retirement); chronic illness - including Diabetes - and pain management; and interpersonal difficulties. Jason proudly supports clients from the LGBTQIA + community Working with older teenagers (16 years +) and adults across the lifespan spectrum, Jason will seek information about your history and family-of-origin. Through building an understanding of his clients across their lifetime, Jason specializes his treatment approach for each client. |
If you, or a third-party (Lawyer/ Insurer), make an appointment for Assessment, Jason will clearly explain the goals of the assessment; ensure you understand the scope of the assessment; administer objective assessment tools; and generate an 8 - 10 page report. This Assessment usually lasts about 90 minutes. The report will be delivered within 10 working days of the assessment. Jason assesses clients ranging in age from 4 years, to late adulthood. Children will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian to their assessment. Jason also works with clients registered with the NDIS (through Self-Managed Plans); and client's receiving support for services under Work Cover WA. |
Services and fees:AssessmentCriminal Injuries Compensation Claims (CIC) When a client has been a victim of crime, they may appoint a Lawyer to process a CIC Claim. Jason has extensive experience in providing a detailed report of the client's psychological injuries, which may result from the Incident(s) of crime. Jason uses clinical interviewing skills, and objective assessment measures, to complete a comprehensive assessment. This report includes recommendations for future treatment. The fee for such a report is within the appropriate limits set by (third party) funders. | TherapyOn making an appointment, you will be emailed paperwork required for your first session. This includes information regarding fee costs. If you hold a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $141.85 per session (up to a limit of 10 in 12 months). If you do not have a MHCP, or have used up your eligible sessions, you may use your Private Health Care Fund for a rebate.
Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Claims When a client has been involved in an MVA they may appoint a lawyer to process their Claim. As above, Jason provides detailed reports of the (possible) psychological injury the client may have sustained through the Accident. Workers Compensation (WC) / Personal Liability Claims When a client has experienced an injury at work, or in another setting, they may require a detailed Psychological Assessment, for processing of their Claim. As above, Jason provides such independent Assessment Reports PLEASE NOTE: JMH PSYCHOLOGY is a private mental health provider, and does not Bulk Bill. There is an affordable out-of-pocket (gap) fee payable for an appointment. Once the fee is paid, you will be rebated the Medicare Rebate at the appointment, onto a bank Debit card.
